Nike Air Max Zero City Collection 2016 // Tokyo

I am as far from a sneakerhead as possible. I own a few pairs of Converse and thats about it. I have never owned a pair of limited edition sneakers neither has Nike Air ever caught my attention. I have always deemed it too sporty and bulky for my style.

Enter - the dreamiest pair of sneakers EVER. A dusty pink perfection in a new Nike Air shape which is way narrower and less bulky. Hence much more appealing to me. To look like I know what I am talking about here I did some reading and found out that this limited edition release included 5 different pairs of women sneakers named after cities. Tokyo is the one what won my heart.

Honestly I just saw a photo of them on Instagram and tracked them down like that. Only then did I come to know that this is exclusive release and that I must act fast or they will forever remain a dream. I haven't figured out too many ways to wear them besides skinny jeans and white t-shirt. I am picturing maybe a white loose dress of some sort as I dont wear shorts. Maybe I could even fashion a midi skirt combo that would look cool?

I think one of the reasons I have started noticing sneakers more is that I find the correct shoe trends to be..well how shall I say this.. ugly? All the slippers, bulky platforms and weird shaped heels are just not my cup of tea. And everything has ankle ribbons or laces which make my not so long legs even stumpier so thanks but no thanks.

You can order them from here and if you live in Estonia they have them at Reede store.

And not that I need any more but I do have these special edition New Balance for J.Crew and these Converse in my saved folders waiting for that day when self control fails.

Tilk! Skincare

When I got contacted by Tilk! asking if I would like to try a few of their fresh bio skincare products I couldn't have said yes faster. First of all the brand originates from Estonia and I love all the cool skincare emerging from my homeland lately. Secondly when something is called bio skincare it just catches my interest.

So what I got sent is their Regenerate Me bio facial cream which is made for combination skin. I have been using it for about two or three months now so feel comfortable to give a little review. It contains carrot oil, almond oil, shea butter among other great things and it smells of lavender which is wonderful. Im a huge fan of lavender scent so smearing this all over my face before makeup is a real treat. It also sinks into the skin very fast so I don't have to wait long to put makeup on.  I have actually noticed that my t-zone which tends to get shiny fast stays matte longer now that I'm using Tilk!. I even did a little test and stopped using it for a about 10 days and the disco ball forehead was fast to return.

The real gem of the two products is the Moisture Me hand cream. Lets talk why exactly am I raving about a hand cream? Well the texture of this is magical- is a fluffy light almost whipped up moose like consistency that sinks into skin super fast. I believe that would be the mango butter found in the ingredients list that gives it this cloud like softness. The scent is almost as magical- a super crisp and strong fresh lemon that lingers on my hands for a while. Now if you are not one for strong scents maybe this isn't for you but I love the burst of citrus that comes with lotioning my hands. I often use hand lotion at the office and since having Moisture Me people around me often ask what smells so good?

The box they come in is cute but I have to say the plastic container did make me think "cheap" at first. However when I realised one of their marketing points is that Tilk! creams are easy to travel with the super lightweight plastic pot made more sense. All in all I really like the products and if you are one for natural organic skincare they do deliver internationally so give it a go.
Im back home this summer and definitely picking up a few more lotions from their range and maybe a cute lip balm as well.

Are you a big brand fan or do you love trying out different smaller brands organic skincare? I would love to hear more suggestions on what I must try.

Favorites

A few of my favourite things currently. Some old some new but all in heavy rotation weekly.

Urban Decay Naked 2 has made a massive comeback for me and I use it every day. It has everything I need. There is the shimmery shades for an evening smokey eye, a good light and brown-grey matte for daily use. Loving this all over again and can't fault the quality of the shadows.

I am late to the party with my brand new Becca x Jacklyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop. This creamy powder highlighter is so gorgeous I would like to smother myself in it. I dont for obvious reasons but I do use it generously. On cheekbones, brow bone, lips, collar bones you name it. The gold peachy undertones are super flattering and it never comes off glittery. Total and utter love for this!

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor in Devotion was the most random purchase. While in Paris few weeks ago my hotel room wasn't ready on arrival so I went to snoop around in the neighbourhood. Stepped into a store with makeup on the window and discover a 40% sale on Revlon lip products. Held myself together and didn't buy more than one as I figured Im gonna hit pharmacies hard (as I did). What a lucky random purchase that was cause I very much like this shade and formula. Its not drying, very light weight and velvety on the lips. Actually describing this as matte is a bit misleading as they aren't totally matte so lets call it semi-matte in order to be precise. Cause when describing lip products accuracy is important right? Need to have a little look in Dubai for more shades cause this formula really is great.

Essie Urban Jungle nail polish has been in my collection for ages. I have recently emerged from a "all I want it red" stage and now this grey-beige-cream-white shade is one I reach for a lot.

I left the total obsession item for last- my very first Byredo perfume! Perfume descriptions are infamously difficult to do if you ask me so let me try to explain the best I can. It is like the juiciest, freshest ripest scent you can imagine. But not in a sweet sickly way even thou there is apple and peach in it cause the bergamot top notes balance it out perfectly. It is amazing for hot weather and lingers on me for hours. It still has that woody scent you want in an expensive perfume. I initially got a sample of this with a purchase but instantly fell in love and didn't hesitate to pay the price for a full bottle. I am obsessed I tell you!

I'm done with rambling how much I love everything now. Have you tried any of these and love them as much as I do?

Sporty Spice

I still love midi dresses but a few items have sneaked into my wardrobe lately that are less common.

The whole athletic gear mixed into street style trend is fab yet I don't see myself pulling it off. I mean I still don't even own a pair of New Balance sneakers cause Im not sure my cool factor is high enough. But this grey based beauty of a track jacket by Adidas won me over with the tropical print obviously. I instantly gravitated towards it in the store and pictured it as the perfect addition to jeans and metallic converse combo. I think the colour scheme of the flowers is perfect and I love the large white logo but black contrasting stripes on the sleeves.

I have gotten tons of wear out of it actually. More than I expected. I love it with a leather pencil skirt and sneakers or on a black casual dress.

I did do a little search online to see other cool track jackets and this is what I found. Another Adidas one but more retro 70s vibe. This Puma jacket is kind of cool also.

As we are on the subject of activewear Im demented to get my hands on some of the Ivy Park pieces by Beyonce x Topshop. They aren't even anything so special but as true blood queen B fan I must order something. My eyes are on this pink sweatshirt or this one and the black PU sleeved number has my heart as well. Basically anything that will make me more like Beyonce would be great.

Have you bought anything from Ivy Park line? Would love to hear about the quality before I start ordering.

French Pharmacy Haul

I only have one face..
Its seems I forgot that entirely the moment I was let loose in Paris pharmacy.

Must. Buy. All. The. Things. - I kept reapeating as I returned to wonder the aisles almost every day of my 5 day vacation.

I had promised myself I wont shop anything unless its french skincare however maybe I should have sent myself a small limitation on lotions as well. Too late now obviously. I posted on Snapchat and Instagram asking for recommendations and boy did I get plenty (special thanks to Bonnie for all the tips). I shall just look at it as amazing back up for the rest of the year. I have only started using some of them and some will have to wait for their turn but lets do a run down of what I got cause I can't wait to share.

Of the ones I have ever tried Caudalie is one of my fav French skincare brands. Its soo much cheaper in Paris than in Dubai which made me want to try more and more products. I picked up the Moisturising Toner which I have used before but it has now been repackaged and has a handy pump. I love this toner- super fresh scent and leaves no residue while being effective and gentle. So this was a repurchase really. The other repurchase was the Moisturising Mask which is a lovely no fuss thick mask that I often leave on for the whole night. I also got the Polyphenol C15 Anti- Wrinkle Eye & Lip Cream which I have started using in the mornings. Its said to reduce dark circles and smooth the area around eyes and I need both of those things so bring it. The third item from Caudalie is Vinosource S.O.S Thirts- Quenching Serum which I can't wait to test out but Im not allowing myself to open until I finish my current morning serum. Its an oil-free moisturising serum so should work well under makeup I assume. And out of curiosity I also purchased the Grape Water mist in a pretty pink limited edition bottle.

Moving on.. you do understand how long this post is going to be right.

Nuxe Gentle Exfoliating Gel- never tried this before but I love love love it now. It has rose petals for exfoliation but it doesn't scratch my skin and it smells great. Super happy with that purchase already.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc Spray- I had read too much about it not to purchase it at least once. Its for blemish prone oily skin but I tend to get more problems in that field over the summer here so I shall keep it for then.

Aven Eau Thermale Spray- goes into the same category as previous mist. I had heard so much about it and it wasn't expensive so figured might as well. However I think its literally just water in a can and I dont have much of an opinion about it.

Klorane Dry Shampoo- my extensive online research on what to buy in french pharmacy always ended up with this on most of the lists. To be honest I have tried twice and wasn't as Wow'd as I expected to be. I will report back.

Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate- is called everything from "miracle cream" to "french pharmacy crown jewel" so I had to give it a go. It has fatty acids and vitamins and should basically help with anything you can think of. It promises to be a mask, a primer, a moisturiser and a makeup remover all in one so I shall put all these bold claims to test as soon as possible.

Cattier Pink Clay Mask- I tried this yesterday and I loooooove. It was a recomendation I got from QuintessentiallyMe from Snapchat and I'm soo grateful. A great basic but gentle clay mask suitable for sensitive skin. Totally worth flying to Paris just to pick this up.

La Roche-Posay Redermic C Anti-Wrinkle Firming Moisturising Filler- figured its time to buy my first ever anti ageing moisturiser. I dont know what pushed me to do it but Im interested to see how this preforms. This has fragmented hyaluronic acid in it (no i don't know what that is I copied this phrase from the box) but it should plump up my skin and vitamins C to help reduce appearance of wrinkles. Shall start using as soon as I finish my current moisturiser and report back but my plan is to not make it my daily moisturiser but more of a few times a week thing.

Phyto Phytobaume Express Conditioner- recommended to me by my dear friend Micha who has only like magical unicorn hair. When she says its her fav ever conditioner I will must definitely need to try it.

Phyto Intense Volume Mousse- meant for fine to medium hair and doesn't leave my hair sticky so far I am loving it. I wouldn't say it gives intense volume but then again I dont have so much to work with either. Its a good basic daily hair mousse with just enough texture and bounce to make a difference.

And I believe we have reached the end of this haul. I am very much excited to put all this onto my one face and then tell you how well does it work.

Have you tried any of these? I know there is soo much more French skincare I could have picked up but maybe next time.

Giving the Cold Shoulder

I have admired this style for ages but I always felt I have too wide shoulders for it. I used to get asked if I'm a swimmer due to the shoulder action in my dancing days and I guess that stuck with me. I never knew if thats a compliment or not given I am not a swimmer.

But curiosity and the fact that this ASOS cami wasn't too expensive I decided to give it a go and now I want it in every color.  I love this top! Its all breezy and flowey and feels so feminine. I have worn it with boyfriends jeans and converse for a relaxed weekend vibe.  But I think it works with heels as well and this is what I wore to a lovely lunch event yesterday.

Combined with my trusty Current Elliot jeans, DVF shoes and of course Mansur Gavriel bucket bag I feel like this might become my fav outfit for a while. Sometimes a girl just needs a break from all the midi dresses. I would love this top with cut of denim shorts as well but I dont wear shorts ever so I will admire that combo on others.

I have added the silver grey version into my saved folder. Would getting it in black as well be excessive? I feel a cold shoulder obsession approaching.

New Shoes Are Always a Good Idea

I mean I wear heels often but I have a special soft spot for flats. Specifically flats with a pointy nose. I mean I know I ain't got legs for days so this style helps to make them look a little longer without sacrificing any comfort.

So when I see a great pair I dont think twice to purchase. This is how we have not one but two new pairs of beauties to talk about. First up is the very affordable option from Oasis. Me and Laura were doing a random wondering through the mall when we spotted them and decisions were made fast. Must.Buy.Now. So we did. They are rose gold so that alone made them a must have. I am still considering getting the same style in black as they are just a perfect every day flat option. I have a bit winder feet than normal so it did take me a week to wear them in but thats kind of a given for me. Now they are great.

Second pair is my favorite kind of neutral - leopard print Gemma flats from J.Crew.  They are canvas and were comfortable from the first wear and every time I wear them it just makes me smile. If I ever had one type of flats shoes I would go with pointy nose leopard ballerinas. May I just mention these are 25% off on J.Crew website right now and I am extremely tempted to get them in the shade Desert Pink (the most gorgeous pastel of course). This cut by J.Crew might just be my favorite pointy nose ever and I want them all. In every shade they have.

That is all the news I have for now. Whats your fav style for flat shoes?

Keep It Real

Now if we keep it real here sometimes I just don't have time to organize a fab Instagramworthy outfit photo shoot.

I can't get a friend to take my photos in a pretty location in perfect afternoon gold light because of a very uninteresting reason- I'm at work. So sometimes you ask your coworker to take a picture in your office and hope that no client walks into the reception while you pose away.

Thats how it happened. A photo taken this morning in my office but there are reasons why:

There is only ONE of these pastel Sleevless Tailored Jackets left on Topshop sale and I think you should drop everything you are doing and order it NOW. Its such great quality for the sale price and a blush pink jacket will forever make your days better believe me! I am in love with it and can picture wearing it over a all white outfit next.

Another item that arrived in latest ASOS order is also well worth a look into although maybe if you live in a climate with actual winter this wount interest you too much. The Cami with scallop neckline is a perfect way to make a boring work outfit more interesting. Obviously you need a blazer or cardigan over it but the neckline is high enough but cute at the same time.

Everything else on this photo is old and seen. Sparkly brogues are Topshop and black jeans Current Elliot, my beloved JBag from MaxMara of course.

That is all. I have to get back to work. But I would have hated to see that pink jacket out of stock before I had a chance to tell you guys. x

Get in My Closet ASOS Sale Dresses

Get in My Closet ASOS Sale Dresses

I assume you all know there is a great sale going on at ASOS right now and if you go on the site you will want to buy all the things. If you didn't I'm sorry I told you cause now you kind of have to check it out right?

Anyway I have made one order already and I am contemplating a second one which is just really not necessary but whatever. Let talk dresses cause thats the only thing I wear anyway.

1. Long Sleeve Check Shirt Dress- I am kicking myself I didn't see this when I made my previous order. It would be perfect to give off that autumnal vibe without melting in Dubai sun. Love the colors and the length cause I could belt it and it would still not be too short. This is one of the reasons I am considering an second order.

2. Fit and Flare Dress with Metallic Dogtooth print- I know this one could go either way cause metallic fabrics can look cheap sometimes. However on the ASOS video view I still like it. Such a cute Christmas party dress ( yes I said it..I said Christmas party..its coming!).

3. Sequin Midi Skater Dress- this disco dress is already on its way to me. I couldnt resist it even knowing I probably dont have anywhere to wear it. But I thought for the sale price its OK even if I just put it on at home and feel happy. In reality I'm sure I will find a place to wear it to I dont mind being overdressed. The crazy all over sequin fabric in combination with midi lenght drew me in and when the second picture showed an open back (which is by far my favorite way to show skin- I'm not a boob or leg girl. I'm a check-out-my-low-cut-back type of girl) the order was made in a matter of minutes.

4. 50's Belted Prom Dress-lets me honest this is just a very me dress isnt it. I love fabric belts and the cut is like all my other dresses. It just seems to be great fabric and quality and the price on sale is fabulous. I really want to get it but.. since its sleeveless and low V cut front and back I cant really wear it to work and I dont need any more going out dresses until I start going out more. But maybe you should order it and I can live vicariously through you?

5. Ruffle Skater Dress- if a second order shall "accidentally" happen I will be adding this dress to it. It is a perfect dog walking dress. Yes that is a separate theme in my wardrobe. I just think it looks cute and comfy for home lounging and weekend beach trips.

6. -7. I already own both of these dresses and they are much loved and worn. Hence when I saw them on sale I thought I would notify you in case you want to add either to your collection. You can see me wearing the Black Debutante Midi Dress in this post. Second is the yellow Warehouse Pleat Detail Dress I have worn so much this summer. I did a post about it here. I think you should just buy both of them to be honest!!

So I shall get back to work now and stop shopping. But what do you think? Any of them worth a purchase?

M.A.C. Red and Pure Zen

You know that feeling when you look at your makeup stash and think "Wow I have too many lipsticks. I certainly dont need any new ones."

Yeah. Me neither!

There is always a lipstick or ten on my wishlist and recently two of them made it to me. Both from good old Mac because nothing beats having that time by the lipstick stand picking up shade after shade only to find out you already own every one you pick up. Until one time you pick up something you dont have and its the same joy all over again. Right? I hope this is not just me.

Anyway- M.A.C Red is Satin finish classic beauty. Nothing groundbreaking if you have as many red lipsticks as me yet totally irresistible if you have as big obsession with red lipsticks as me. It has strong blue undertones and a hint of pink or cherry shade in it. Its bright and beautiful. The satin finish is a good option on days my lips are a little dry but I still want a red lip look. I shall try have a picture of me wearing it up soon.

Pure Zen is a total revelation for me! Why did I live under a rock for so long I do not know but thankfully I have Laura, my makeup fairy-godmother. When she heard I don't have this shade we marched to the closest MAC counter and she gifted me one. I thought its same-same as my Peach Blossom but I was wrong. This is more pigmented, peachier in color and like totally different!! Mac describes it as a "warm frosted nude" and it come in the creamsheen finish. A perfect every day nude that I have been wearing nonstop for a week.

Here is Pure Zen with a tiny bit of Elizabeth Arden clear lipbalm on top as I'm struggling with dryness at the moment.

Have you bought lipsticks lately? Anything I should look into?
